I have just finished my first week at Crystal ski’s head office in the lovely market town of Kingston. Unfortunately, the week itself wasn’t so lovely; half of the people in my team (Online and Marketing) have been permanently glued to their computers, while the other half have been in constant flux in and out of meeting rooms. The reason; the brand spanking new and improved www.crystalski.co.uk website. During the week, I learned that my project for the duration of this 3-month placement would be to transform the redundant and dated-looking www.crystalholidays.co.uk into the corporate home of Crystal, with pages dedicated to press releases, an “about” section, and other such elements that you might expect to find on B2B sites. Due to the imminent live date of 26th October for the main site, however, I have been largely confined to error-checking the resort pages….all 120+ of them! The end is in sight though as the 26th looms and I can finally get stuck into a real project!
Not quite the perfect start, but things are looking up
