TUI Graduate Scheme 2011 Intake
Ben studied history and politics, before working in a call centre, a prison and then teaching English abroad. In the six months before joining TUI he worked in in a small, London based overseas student recruitment company.
Ben loves making music, travelling on a shoestring and getting competitive at any type of sport.
A keen traveller, Ben has a real passion for adventure. He has worked in Sweden, volunteered in Fiji, studied in Australia and backpacked around the world not once, but twice!
Ben is an extreme sports enthusiast, including skiing, scuba diving, sailing, mountain biking, paragliding and wakeboarding.
Deborah spent her third year of university studying at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France. Situated in the heart of the alps, she took the opportunity to ski as often as possible.
She is a fluent French speaker and a huge fan of ‘T in the Park’ which she has attended four years running.
An avid skydiver, Laura has completed over 500 skydives and has medals in various disciplines in the sport – despite having a fear of heights!
Prior to joining the graduate scheme, Laura worked as a copywriter, SEO and social media marketer and still maintains her own online marketing blog.
Jennifer joins the graduate scheme from Ireland where she completed a degree in Law before undertaking her MSc in Management at Queen’s University.
Jennifer also represented Queen’s University at the SIFE UK national competition in London where she presented to over 500 business people and came third in the UK.
Kelly has lived and worked in both Germany and Spain and can speak both German and Spanish fluently.
She has completed the CELTA course for Teaching English as a Foreign Language and her hobbies include travel, skiing, tennis and photography. She was also the cox for her college rowing team.
TUI Graduate Scheme 2010 Intake
Alistair Randall: From Cornwall, studied English Language at Cardiff University, graduating in 2007. Since then, Ali’s been working across the globe including time as a football coach in North America and a Ski School assistant in France. Well travelled, in his time off Ali can be found playing sports or beside the beaches in Cornwall. Most recently Ali has completed studies in performance psychology.
Ben Ireland: From South Devon, Ben has run an architectural service firm, founded a building services manufacturing company, and worked as a marketing assistant for Reebok. He graduated in 2008 in Business Studies at Lancaster University, and has also done a ski season as a chalet host in the Portes du Soleil.
Guy Bromley: Also from South Devon. Just graduated from University of Edinburgh in German and Politics. Has also spent a year as a Student Union sabbatical, and has worked as a ‘Bologna Expert’ on behalf of the European Commission and as a trainer for Student Participation in Quality Scotland.
Janet Galbraith: From Kent originally, studied French and Music at Leeds. Since graduating in 2005, Janet has worked across the travel industry: for EF language schools in Shanghai and London, Iglu.com ski holidays, and as a scuba diving instructor. She has also this year, completed a PGCert in Tourism and Travel Management at University of Nottingham.
Jonathon Curtis: From Plymouth – Jonathon studied Business Management at Sheffield University. Either side of graduating in 2007, Jonathon has worked and travelled abroad, including a 3 month voluntary project in Costa Rica, Winter repping in Andorra and Canada, and tour guiding in Madrid, as well as working for BT as an Assistant Product Manager.
Pete Buckley: A Londoner, Pete studied Management, Communication and Technology at Sheffield Hallam University. Alongside this, Pete has worked in health and safety for a contractor to the London Underground, enjoyed a summer working overseas as a resort rep for Thomson Lakes and Mountains and spend five summers living, working and running his own business up and down the east coast of America.
